Pathlight was originally launched in 2010 in collaboration with People's Literature Magazine, and was primarily distributed within China.

This biannual edition, produced by People's Literature Magazine and Coal Hill Books, will be available internationally in digital form, as well as in a limited print edition.

  • Eric Abrahamsen

    Editor

    Eric Abrahamsen is a translator, occasional journalist, and publishing consultant. After many years running literary and publishing events in Beijing, he's returned to Seattle, where he continues to help run Paper Republic.

  • Jeremy Tiang

    Managing Editor

    Jeremy Tiang has translated more than twenty books from Chinese, including novels by Yan Ge, Zhang Yueran, Yeng Pway Ngon, Chan Ho-Kei, Yan Geling, Lo Yi-Chin and Li Er. He also writes and translates plays. His novel State of Emergency won the Singapore Literature Prize in 2018.

  • Chen Dongmei

    Editorial Coordinator

    After editing books in a Chinese publishing house, Dongmei moved to cultural and literary project management. She now works in data localization.

  • Jenna Tang

    Marketing Coordinator

    Jenna Tang is a translator and writer from Taiwan. She translates from Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. She completed her MFA Creative Writing Fiction degree at The New School in May last year. Her translations have been published in Restless Books’ anthology And We Came Outside and Saw the Stars Again, Latin American Literature Today, and more.
